who was minato namikaze?

Minato was the fourth hokage of hidden leaf village. His specialty was the Teleportation Jutsu. He is one of the most beloved naruto character. He was the husband of Kushina uzumaki and the father of Naruto uzumaki who later became the seventh hokage. Minato was very young when he died. When Kushina was giving birth to Naruto , the sealing jutsu became weak so Obito Uchiha extract the Nine tails from Kushina and summoned it in the leaf village. As the hokage of the village , Minato had to stop the nine tails and in that process , he died because he used the sealing jutsu to seal Nine tails (kurama) inside Naruto as the jutsu he used costs the life of the user. As the hokage of the village , Minato saved the leaf village from the Nine tails.
